The Texas Education Agency is now out with guidance after the Governor's announcement on the face mask mandate, and says a public school system's current practices when it comes to masks can continue.
The TEA also says local school boards have full authority to decide on their own mask policies.
The TEA is also updating surface cleaning requirements.
