There are a few Texas staples that Texans simply can’t live without. Whataburger and Buc-ees are the first that come to mind for most, but when it comes to donuts few in the Lone Star state can resist the urge of Shipley Do-Nuts. The Texas brand may have started in Houston, but has spread all over Texas over the last 85 years. Now, the donut shop has announced a huge expansion, with plans to open 350 stores nationwide over the next five years.
Shipley Do-Nuts recently wrapped up the first quarter of 2022 by announcing plans to double the size of the company. Not only will they open new stores throughout Texas, but for the first time will open locations in states such as Maryland and Atlanta. There are currently 330 Shipley franchise locations in Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas, according to Chron.
