It's a great week for fans of the Super Mario franchise because the highly anticipated Super Mario Bros Movie is FINALLY HERE!
KRLD's What to Watch team was joined by Anna Vanston from New Rockstars to talk about what to expect from one of the biggest movies of the year!
What are you most looking forward to seeing in this movie?
I am very, very excited to see what characters they're going to pull out and which ones they might save for a sequel, because I can already tell you, there's definitely going to be a sequel to this one. They've also teased some just incredible kind of Mario Kart-esque gameplay that looks really cool and action packed, so I'm definitely looking forward to a Mario Kart sequence that's gonna be in there.
What game since, there's so many across the board, would you like to see featured either in this movie?
I'll always root for and it'll never come true, but I'm always hopeful that they will give a nod to Super Mario RPG, which is one of my favorite Mario games. That was for the SNES that's never gonna have. They're not they're never going to acknowledge it, but a girl can dream. But I am very excited for the Galaxy stuff. If I had to guess I think they're gonna save Rosalina for a sequel, but then oh, no, we'll have to see the galaxy would be it's going to be an awesome nod for sure.
