Our Apps this week will all be apps that won awards on either iOS or Google Play. Our App today is called Flighty.
This is a flight tracking app for you if you're flying out of town on vacation or traveling for work. It's a pretty big issue lately when you see that your flight is delayed, or worse, canceled.
This app will let you know about any flight delays or cancellations early. You can track the plane that you're supposed to fly out on, hours before it arrives at the airport. It has live streaming data and real-time flight plans for flights.
It gives you advisories from the FAA about those flights. You can check out flights coming in and going out near you. If your flight is going to be delayed or canceled, it can give you alternate flights to get you where you want to go.
It has automated assistants to help you if you want to check in for a flight or if you have a tight connection to get to the next flight. It also works if you are meeting someone at the airport. Could you find out about that flight coming in or going out? Flighty is a free app on iTunes. It has a subscription model.
