A North Dakota woman was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon after allegedly tearing a statue of Jesus out of a cathedral wall while mostly naked.

Fargo police say Brittney Marie Reynolds, 35, was topless and also without shoes or socks when she entered St. Mary’s Cathedral and destroyed the statue.

Authorities believe Reynolds was under the influence of narcotics at the time of her alleged vandalism.

Police say she was unable to answer basic questions, and also assaulted the staff of a local emergency room, resulting in an additional warrant.

The statue that was destroyed was valued at $11,500, according to St. Mary’s Cathedral.

Reynolds has been charged with criminal mischief.
