According to former President Donald Trump, a new coffee-table book set to come out next month will show that a number of high-profile people kissed his “a**” before he ran for president as a Republican.
“I think they’re going to see a very fascinating life. I knew them all – and every one of them kissed my a**, and now I only have half of them kissing my a**,” Trump told Breitbart News during a phone interview about the “Letters to Trump” book.
Included in the book are letters from: Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Diana, Clint Eastwood, Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jackson, Shaquille O’Neal, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Chinese President Xi Jinping, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro and more.
Before his foray into politics, Trump was a well-known business figure and real estate mogul. His 1987 book “The Art of the Deal” was a bestseller. However, CBS News reported in 2019 that its ghostwriter has criticized the book.
Intelligencer described “Letters to Trump” as “a coffee-table book out for revenge,” and said that it “contains a shocking amount of catty commentary for what was billed as a collection of White House photos.”
Per the outlet, its publisher – Winning Team Publishing – is a venture from Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr.
“My father has lived an amazing life and has been around some of the most interesting people in the world,” Trump Jr. said, according to Breitbart News. “It’s amazing how quickly their adoration of him changed when he ran for office as a Republican. Letters to Trump shows you exactly how they felt about him and how phony their newfound disdain truly is.”
“Letters to Trump” is expected to be released April 25 and its sale price is $99. Intelligencer reported that the Trumps have claimed that the book has already sold out its initial print run of 200,000 copies in a matter of weeks.
