Former President Donald Trump is continuing to take shots at his Republican rival Ron DeSantis, this time saying that the Florida Gov. is to blame for Disney going “woke.”

“Disney has become a Woke and Disgusting shadow of its former self, with people actually hating it. Must go back to what it once was, or the ‘market’ will do irreparable damage,” Trump said on his social media platform Truth Social.

Trump’s comments went on to claim that DeSantis was complaining about Disney’s actions now only for “publicity” and that he could have “stopped it long ago.”

“Would have been easy to do - Still is!” Trump claimed in his post.

Disney and DeSantis have had a back-and-forth since the governor passed his controversial legislation known as the “Don’t Say Gay” bill, which prohibits teachers from discussing gender identity and sexuality in the classroom.

In response to the company’s criticism, DeSantis pushed for and signed legislation that took away the company’s self-governing status and appointed a new board of supervisors.

But, before the new board took over, the old board stripped the new supervisors of design and construction authority.

With the two parties continuing to back and forth, Disney announced that it was scrapping plans to expand its park in Florida. The deal would have seen around $1.7 billion invested in the Orlando area and sent around 2,000 workers from California to Florida.

After Disney made this announcement, a Trump campaign Twitter account took to criticizing the governor for his “Culture Of Losing.”

“DeSanctus’ weakness leads to job losses and loss of $1B,” the tweet said.
