While Gen Xers are moving to Texas— Wichita Falls more than any other Texas city— millennials tend to move to other cities.
Smart Asset looked at which American cities are attracting people under the age of 42.
The study shows that the biggest percentage goes towards Cambridge, Massachusetts, close to Harvard. The city's millennial population has grown to almost 15%.
Two Texas cities make the top 10 though. Millennials moving in comprise just under 11% of the population in Killeen and Austin. Austin's population of that age group grew by more than 103,000 last year.
Millennials now make up 40% of the total population. Killeen is up to 35%.
