From writers and world leaders to entertainers and athletes, Time Magazine has released its "Time100 - Most Influential People in the World." And there are a few Texans on the list.

Mahomes had a piece written on him by former Ranger Alex Rodriguez who said, "Patrick Mahomes has always had the heart of a champion," and credited Mahomes for not following him into baseball.

On Abbott, Time's Philip Elliott wrote, "During his nine years as the governor of Texas, he has proved adept at simultaneously throwing red meat to his conservative base while tempering pushback from the state’s liberal enclaves."
