An estimated 31.5 million Americans will place more than $7.6 billion in bets on the Super Bowl.
The number of people planning to bet is up by more than a third from last year, and the amount they may wager is up 78% from last year - both records.
Kyle Newman with Odds Checker said people's attitude about gambling has changed as more states have made it legal. He said lots of people love to place what are called prop bets and a favorite is how long will the national anthem go for.
