A Texas non-profit is offering $50,000 a year to UT offensive linemen for the use of their name, image and likeness to support charitable causes.
A new group called "Horns With Heart" made the announcement yesterday, saying it was founded by six Texas alumni and sports supporters, "with experience across multiple industries and disciplines to make a positive impact on local communities."
However, the announcement does not identify the six. The offer comes just months after the NCAA said it will permit college athletes to profit from their celebrity without worrying about whether it would jeopardize their athletic eligibility.
