A cold snap like the one we're suffering through is practically unheard of in North Texas, so most of us have to improvise to find ways to cope.
For example, with sidewalks full of snow, most in North Texas don't have a snow shovel or a snow blower. So, some have been seen using a push broom to clear the sidewalk.
Others making do in a pinch have been using a pair of socks as mittens, credit cards to scrape the windshield and a broken down box to sled down a snowy slope.
