TYLER (1080 KRLD)- East Texas Congressman Louie Gohmert is planning to challenge Ken Paxton in the March GOP primary.
Gohmert made the announcement Monday night after saying he had met his goal of raising a million dollars in ten days. Others expected to be on the ballot are Land Commissioner George P. Bush, Texas Supreme Court Justice Eva Guzman and former Texas House member Matt Krause.
A few Democrats have also expressed interest in running against Paxton -- including former ACLU lawyer Rochelle Garza, former Galveston mayor Joe Jaworski and civil rights attorney Lee Merritt.
