The Chinese asylum seekers are all part of a christian church that is considered illegal in communist China, it was founded in 2012 and congregation members say they had been persecuted.
According to reports, the group plans to settle in Tyler.
They arrived at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport Friday night. Several christian aid organizations helped facilitate travel for the group that includes many children.
The director of Freedom Seekers International of Tyler helped the group clear customs. Chinese have very high rates of success in US immigration courts. A Syracuse professor says Chinese asylum seekers have won nearly 70% of their cases.
