Saturday is Election Day across Texas for city and school races.
Dallas County Elections Administrator Heider Garcia says his team is ready after having to go through training on new devices.
Poll workers had to learn how to operate new electronic poll book devices in some locations after issues in the General Election in November.
"We bought all new poll books, all new software, and we took that project on," Garcia said. "A project like this, any other county of comparable size would probably take six months to do, and we did it in less two months."
He says the early voting process which wrapped up ahead of Election Day went relatively smoothly with few problems.
"We had one place that lost power for a few hours," Garcia said. "We had that incident in Richardson where some of the districts had to be reprogrammed because they were marked as single-member instead of at-large."
Polls on Election Day, Saturday, are open from 7:00am until 7:00pm.
