Former President George W. Bush is contributing $100,000 to the campaign of his nephew, Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush who's running for the GOP state attorney general nomination.
The younger Bush is running against incumbent Ken Paxton.
George P. is the son of Jeb Bush, the former Florida governor who is also kicking in $25,000 for George P's campaign fund.
The other Republicans challenging Paxton are former State Supreme Court Justice Eva Guzman and former Texas Congressman Louis Gohmert.
Bush, Guzman and Gohmert met for a debate in Austin last night but Paxton was not there by his own choice. Instead, he attended the Conservative Political Action Committee conference in Orlando.
