With 40 days left until the November Elections - Governor Abbott appears to be gaining momentum over his Democratic opponent Beto O’Rourke.
According to the Texas Hispanic Policy Foundation study of likely voters, 51 percent side with re-electing Governor Abbot. Former Republican State Rep Jason Villalba heads the foundation.
"Abbott was down only by two points with women which you would expect after the Dobbs decision that he might be further back."
Villalba adds O’Rourke’s going to need a big turnout of newly registered women who oppose the overturning of Roe vs Wade.
As far as others, Lt. Governor Dan Patrick has a 6 percent lead over Democrat Mike Collie. While incumbent Attorney General Ken Paxton is up by 5 percent over Democrat Rochelle Garza.
