A Grapevine man has made his first court appearance for charges that he forced his way onto the floor of the US Senate during Wednesday's riot.
Larry Rendall Brock, 53, appeared before a US Magistrate on two federal charges, entering a restricted building or grounds and violent entry or Disorderly Conduct.

Federal prosecutors immediately moved to have Brock detained without bond. U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeffrey Cureton set a detention hearing for Thursday, at which time he may also decide whether Brock should be extradited back to Washington DC.
Brock was reported to the FBI by his ex-wife, who saw him on videos, according to an arrest affidavit. The affidavit says Brock was recorded on video on the floor of the US Senate Wednesday, dressed in military clothing, with a helmet and holding the plastic cuffs used for restraint.
Brock surrendered to the FBI in Grapevine Sunday.
