PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA - SEPTEMBER 10: Democratic presidential nominee, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, debates Republican presidential nominee, former U.S. president Donald Trump, for the first time during the presidential election campaign at The National Constitution Center on September 10, 2024 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After earning the Democratic Party nomination following President Joe Biden’s decision to leave the race, Harris faced off with Trump in what may be the only debate of the 2024 race for the White House. Some conspiracy-minded supporters of former President Donald Trump have alleged that Vice President Kamala Harris received secret, unfair assistance during her debate on Tuesday night against the Republican nominee.

The claim suggests that Harris wore earrings containing a hidden Bluetooth device, allowing her to receive coaching from offstage aides during the ABC News debate in Philadelphia, a clear violation of the rules set by the network.

However, the NOVA H1 Audio Earrings, which these theories reference, differ significantly from the earrings Harris wore, aside from both featuring pearls.

The NOVA H1 Audio Earrings, which are clip-ons selling for around $625 each, can “project sound from inside the pearl directly into your ear canal,” according to their Kickstarter page. That campaign, however, has been inactive since last year, with some backers reporting they never received the product despite contributing funds.

Fact-checking website Snopes has determined that the claim of Harris wearing Bluetooth earrings is 'unfounded.'
