Some House republicans are not happy with how the so-called "Big Beautiful Bill" left the Senate with the number of changes made to it.
Congressman Keith Self of North Texas says House Speaker Mike Johnson warned the senate not to send back a bill that was materially different than what the House originally passed.
"I'm uneasy, I have concerns and I know a bunch of other people do as well," Congressman Self said. "We sent over there a framework that the Speaker of the House was very clear to the Senate: Don't send me back a bill that is materially different and they certainly have."
Self says he believes it is possible for lawmakers to work with the Senate legislation to pass the measure with his support.
House Democrats have vowed to use every tactic at their disposal to delay passage of the bill.
Even if lawmakers miss the July Fourth deadline to pass the legislation, Self says it could be done this month.
"If we get it done in the month of July, we're months ahead of where it was done in Trump's first term," Self said.
