Governor Abbott and Texas public safety leaders have an update on their border security efforts.
To date, they say over 516,000 illegal immigrants have been apprehended and more than 45,000 criminal arrests have been made. Texas law enforcement has also seized over 505 million lethal doses of fentanyl.
Abbot says that through Operation Lone Star, over 199,000 migrants have been bused to so-called sanctuary cities since 2022, including Washington DC, New York and Los Angeles.
