The Texas Department of Public Safety says a girl who prompted an Amber Alert Wednesday afternoon has been found. Police in Hamlin, about 40 miles northwest of Abilene, had issued the alert for a 10-year-old girl.

Police say the girl may have been taken by a 43-year-old man. They did not say what relationship the two might have had, but they said the girl might have been in danger.

Police sent descriptions of the two and the motorcycle they might have been riding. About five hours later, DPS cancelled the alert.

DPS did not confirm what may have happened or whether the adult would face charges, but they did say the girl was found.
