A Corpus Christi police officer with ties to North Texas has a life-threatening wound after being shot at the scene of a domestic incident fight Friday night.
Reports say Officer Kyle Hicks, who is originally from Arlington, has been with Corpus Christi PD for two years. Commanders say Hicks is married with four young children.
He remains in critical condition. The gunman was killed when another officer returned fire.
