Meet Tally, the brave Kemp’s ridley sea turtle with an incredible tale of survival! After an icy adventure near Wales, this little turtle is getting a VIP ticket back home to the Gulf of Mexico, all thanks to an A-list team crew made up of Texas animal groups and the UK's Royal Air Force.
These pint-sized turtles are like the action heroes of the sea turtle world, and Tally here is the star of the show. Despite their usual hangout being the warm Gulf waters, Tally had a daring detour across the Atlantic, braving freezing cold waters that would make anyone shiver.
But don’t worry! With some international collaboration and a bit of turtle TLC, Tally is ready to rock the Gulf again. Since her start as a beach bum in Wales, Tally's comeback tour includes a high-flying gig with Turtles Fly Too and even a cameo on a British Airways flight.
Now, after some R&R in Texas, Tally’s hitting the beach in style, equipped with a fancy tracker courtesy of Texas A&M University. The curtain rises on her big release in early September, where fans, volunteers, and wildlife enthusiasts will cheer her on as she swims into the spotlight.
So, here's to Tally, the turtle who proves that a little determination and a lot of teamwork can turn a chilly misadventure into a heartwarming tale of triumph!
