A 10-day-old baby who was the subject of last night's Amber Alert has been turned over to CPS in Hunt County after being missing since noon on Monday.
Police say his mother was supposed to hand over the child named Ryder Williams over to Child Protective Services because the infant had tested positive for narcotics.
The parents, from the town of Coffee City near Lake Palestine, lost custody on Monday in a Henderson County court hearing. But they fled with the baby and had been on the run all week.
But when the Amber Alert was issued last night, Ryder's mother Michelle Wolf was in Hunt County and called the Sheriff's Office and offered to hand the baby over.
Ryder's father, Ricky Williams, was arrested in Tyler. The Amber Alert was canceled last night just past 11 p.m.
