Nobody was hurt but a lot of Houston-area drivers were shaken up when they saw a small plane crash land right in front of them on a busy freeway Sunday.

Reports say the single-engine plane clipped a big-rig while making an emergency landing on Highway 99 near Tomball.

The FAA says the pilot of the Beech M-35 reported engine problems just before noon. After striking the top of the big rig trailer, the plane hit a concrete barrier and caught fire on touchdown.

Only the pilot was aboard and he walked away from the crash. Despite a fair amount of traffic on the freeway, no one on the ground was hurt.
