A college student from Collin County is now back home more than a month after he was shot during a baseball game at Texas A&M Texarkana in late April.
Princeton High School graduate Matthew Delaney was standing on the field when gunfire erupted off-campus. He was struck by a bullet that hit him in the chest.
Delaney has undergone surgery and rehab at a hospital in Texarkana but has now been released to continue his recovery at home.
Days after the shooting, a 17-year-old named Kamauri Butler was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Three other men were jailed on drug or weapons charges.
