Audacy Dallas Regional President Brian Purdy has been inducted into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame, honoring his decades of leadership and impact on the state’s broadcast industry. The ceremony took place Saturday in Kilgore, Texas, where broadcasters from across the state gathered to celebrate the 2025 class of inductees.

Purdy, who oversees stations including NewsRadio 1080 KRLD, The Fan (105.3), and KVIL, has spent more than 40 years in radio, guiding some of the state’s most successful news, talk, and sports brands. Colleagues describe him as a steady, forward-thinking leader who has helped shape the sound of Texas radio while mentoring generations of broadcasters.

His induction highlights not only a personal career milestone but also the continued influence of Texas radio on the national stage. The Texas Radio Hall of Fame, founded in 2002, recognizes those whose work has left a lasting mark on the industry and the communities they serve.

Purdy joins other notable Texas Radio Hall of Famers and KRLD staffers Mike Rogers and David Rancken.
