UPDATE: Seven people have now been confirmed to be wounded in Sunday night's mass shooting near Prairie View.

The Waller County Sheriff's Office has new information showing the seven wounded victims include four women, two men and a juvenile whose age has not been released.

They were attending what the Sheriff calls a "trail ride pasture party" that was held during Prairie View A&M's homecoming weekend. It was not organized by A&M and was held three miles from the A&M campus in a very rural area.

The Sheriff also said that all the victims were shot in the legs and their wounds were not life-threatening. Over a thousand people were attending the event when the shots were fired during what started out as a verbal quarrel.

While security was to be provided by Waller County and a private agency, the Sheriff said the organizers did not abide by any of the security protocols they had agreed to.
