A 17-year-old Texas woman is facing multiple charges after San Antonio police say she pepper-sprayed several people aboard a River Walk tour boat when another passenger asked her to lower the volume on her phone.
The incident left multiple victims, including children, with injuries and led to the arrest of Kasidy Luz Trevino.
According to police records, Trevino is charged with one count of assault causing bodily injury, a Class A misdemeanor, and two counts of injuring a child, elderly or disabled person with intent, which are third-degree felonies under Texas law. Officers say the confrontation escalated quickly, causing passengers to call for help as the boat returned to a nearby loading area.
Authorities have not released additional details about the victims’ conditions or any potential motive beyond the reported dispute over noise. Trevino was taken into custody following the incident, and the case will be handled through the Bexar County criminal court system.
