A Texas man accused of drunken driving was taken into custody in upstate New York and is now being held as a fugitive from justice, police said.
The Saratoga Springs Police Department said officers responded Sunday, Jan. 11, to a report of a possibly intoxicated driver. As officers approached the vehicle, the driver — identified as 47-year-old Jody Harr of Grand Prairie — fled the scene, police said.
After a brief pursuit, Harr was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated. Authorities later determined Harr was wanted in Texas on child exploitation-related charges. Harr was additionally charged as a Fugitive from Justice and on multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.
Harr was jailed pending extradition and is being held in the custody of the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.
