They say everything is bigger in Texas, and next month that will be proven once again.
The world’s largest rubber duck is making its way to DFW in July for a free event. As part of the “#KindnessDuck Party” the duck will be on display at Trinity Park in Fort Worth for two days.
The massive rubber duck is being brought to Texas by Kindness Duck Project, a Fort Worth-based nonprofit that aims to promote kindness “by responding to community needs and performing as many random acts of kindness as possible.”
The free event will take place from July 23-25, according to Dallas Observer. Coming with the six story tall and 75 feet long rubber duck will be a smaller 10-foot-tall baby rubber duck.
In order to get the record breaking rubber duck to DFW, the nonprofit has set up a GoFundMe, hoping to raise $10,000 for the rubber duck event.
Many throughout DFW are excited to get a selfie with the massive rubber duck. Maybe once it’s here, it will realize something that big must stay in Texas forever.
