Game shows have been a television staple for decades now, but still some fans dream of getting to experience the game in person. Sadly, most will never get that opportunity as these shows rarely hit the road to bring the show to fans.
For fans of ‘Wheel of Fortune’ in DFW, their chance to see how the game works live and in person is coming in 2023.
It was recently announced that ‘Wheel of Fortune Live’ would be coming to DFW next year. While not the televised version of the game, the “theatrical experience” will take place at Texas Trust CU Theatre at Grand Prairie on January 24.
Sadly, show regulars Pat Sajak and Vanna White won’t be in attendance, but Antiques Roadshow host Mark L. Walberg and singer Clay Aiken will take over hosting duties.
According to Dallas Culture Map, Audience members will be invited to compete for prizes including $10,000 in cash and trips abroad. Presale tickets for the event are now available, with general sales opening on November 18. For fans of ‘Wheel of Fortune’ this may finally be their chance to spin the wheel themselves.
