Barack and Michelle Obama used their anniversary as a reason to urge people to vote in the upcoming election.

Over the weekend, the former president and his wife celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary.

Barack posted an adorable picture of the couple featuring the two of them looking happy and laughing. “Even with everything going on, I wanted to take a moment to say happy anniversary to the love of my life,” the caption read. “Every day with @MichelleObama makes me a better husband, a better father, and a better human.”

He continued, “This year, while we appreciate all your well-wishes, what we’d really love is for each of you to reach out to one person in your life who might not vote. Help them get registered. Help them make a plan to cast their ballot.”

The former president encouraged social media users to visit the I Will Vote website, a voter registration tool by the Democratic National Committee.
