Waves of rain will persist through early Tuesday morning, with temperatures remaining on the chilly side. A stronger front is expected to arrive Wednesday night, followed by a couple of morning freezes. A brief warm-up is anticipated on Friday, with temperatures rising rapidly, only to drop again by Saturday afternoon into Sunday.

Heavy rain will move across parts of North Texas on Tuesday. The initial wave should clear the area by noon, with 1-2 inches of rain possible along and south of Interstate 20. Isolated areas may experience higher totals, and thunder cannot be ruled out. Areas north of Interstate 20 will see lower rain totals. Temperatures will remain steady in the low to mid-40s throughout the day.

The next wave of rain will arrive late Tuesday evening, persisting through the overnight period and producing an additional inch or two of rain, particularly in areas south and east of the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The rain should clear the area by Wednesday morning. Severe weather is not expected, but some isolated areas may experience flooding. Temperatures will remain in the low to mid-40s throughout the night.

A clearing line will move into the area from the southwest by Wednesday afternoon, leading to a rise in temperatures into the 50s. Enjoy this brief warm-up, as a strong cold front will move through the area Wednesday evening, dropping temperatures into the 20s by Thursday morning. Factoring in wind chill, temperatures will feel like they are in the teens. A very chilly morning is expected.

Thursday will be characterized by a mix of sun and clouds, windy conditions, and chilly temperatures. Afternoon highs will struggle to exceed 40 degrees, with wind chills near freezing throughout the day.

Following a light freeze on Friday morning, sunny skies will enable temperatures to warm back into the 50s.

Saturday is expected to be spectacular, with plenty of sunshine after morning low clouds dissipate. High temperatures may reach 70 degrees before another strong cold front arrives on Saturday afternoon. Temperatures will plummet into the 20s again by Sunday morning, with sunny, breezy, and cold conditions prevailing on Sunday afternoon. High temperatures will only warm into the middle 40s, with temperatures returning to near 50 on Monday amidst sunshine.
