Welcome to the final day of 2025. If you are a fan of cold weather, take advantage of this morning's temperatures because warming trends are expected to prevail over the next seven days. The exception will be Saturday, as we will experience a slight cool-down behind a Friday afternoon cold front. Unfortunately, no precipitation is forecasted for the foreseeable future.
Good morning and happy New Year's Eve. Temperatures are currently in the 30s across North Texas, with some areas at or slightly below freezing, particularly east of the Metroplex. Today promises to be a beautiful day with plenty of sunshine. Afternoon highs are expected to reach the mid-60s, surpassing the average high temperature for this time of year, which has stabilized at 56 degrees and will remain so until mid-January.
If you plan to venture out this evening to celebrate New Year's Eve, temperatures will drop to the upper 40s by midnight and further decline to the low 40s by daybreak under clear skies. Please prioritize safety and responsible drinking.
The first day of 2026 is expected to be exceptional, with afternoon highs approaching 70 degrees. Plenty of high clouds will stream overhead, creating a stunning sunrise and sunset. Friday is forecasted to be equally pleasant, with afternoon highs again nearing 70 degrees. A weak afternoon cold front will shift winds to the north, ushering in slightly cooler air, though still without precipitation.
The weekend promises to be fantastic. Saturday will be slightly cooler, with highs in the mid-60s under sunny skies. Temperatures will rapidly rise on Sunday, reaching the low 70s. This trend will continue into Monday and Tuesday, with ample sunshine and highs in the 70s, while lows will range from the upper 40s to low 50s.
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to all of you for following my page throughout 2025. I appreciate your support and look forward to a successful and prosperous 2026 for myself and for all of you.
Have a great day and enjoy the weather when you can, it's the only weather you've got!
