A rapid warm up as an upper-level ridge bakes us all week

It has been a while since we have seen measurable rain across north Texas. Unfortunately, not a lot of rain in our forecast for the next 7 days. Temperatures will be well above normal. Average high right now is 81゚

It's another cool comfortable start across the area this morning. Temperatures will warm rapidly today into the mid eighties. Back in the low sixties tonight and readings will soar into the upper 80s tomorrow and Thursday.

High clouds from Hurricane Delta will overspread the area on Friday holding the temperatures down into the low 80s.

The upcoming weekend looks hot and dry with highs in the upper 89s Saturday... some areas may get up into the mid 90s on Sunday, out the head of our next cold front that will arrive on Monday. Temperatures will cool back to near 80゚ for afternoon highs.

I will continue to monitor the progress of Hurricane Delta over the next few days.
