You will NOT need your jacket this afternoon as a very warm and dry WSW wind will warm temperatures to near 80゚! There is also a high grass fire danger today due to the low relative humidity and strong gusty winds.
A south wind will quickly return tonight and tomorrow. Clouds will also invade the area but some peeks of afternoon sun will warm temperatures back to near 80゚.
Gulf of Mexico moisture will rapidly return and interact with our next weather maker that will arrive after midnight Tuesday into early Wednesday morning. Showers and thunderstorms are pretty good bet. A few strong storms are possible. Right now, it looks like any severe storms will be confined to areas towards the Red River into central Oklahoma. Small hail and wind will be the threats.
A cold front will sweep through the area Wednesday morning, clearing things out by Wednesday afternoon as cooler air rushes in. Afternoon highs will be in the middle 60s.
An absolutely spectacular weather pattern is in the cards Thursday through Sunday. High temperatures will be in the 60s Thursday and Friday, warming to near 70 or slightly above into the weekend.
