Here we go again, another benign forecast for North Texas over the next 7 days. At least we have a brief cool down arriving tomorrow. Happy Monday ladies and gentlemen. I hope you had a terrific weekend.

Temperatures were unseasonably warm with highs near 90 degrees once again. Rinse and repeat that forecast for today as this upper-level ridge of high pressure continues to grip the area.

We are starting off in the mid-60s to near 70 degrees at this hour under a clear sky and a full moon. Partly cloudy and warm today with an isolated chance for a shower storm. Afternoon highs again will touch 90 degrees.

Before noon tomorrow, a weak cold front will move into the area, producing a slight chance of a shower storm across North Texas. Temperatures will range from 83 degrees to 92 degrees from north to south. I think we will top out around 87 degrees at DFW Airport. About 18.2 percent of you have a chance for an isolated shower storm during the afternoon hours. Wind will shift to the north-northeast at 10 to 15 mph.

Temperatures will be a bit cooler Wednesday morning with readings in the upper 50s to mid-60s. Close to average for this time of year. Plenty of sunshine will dominate Wednesday with highs in the low 70s. Again, close to average for this time of year.

This front will lift back to the north on Thursday as we warm into the mid to upper 80s with plenty of sunshine. Friday through the weekend looks quiet again. Daytime highs will top out in the upper 80s, with morning lows in the 60s. The upper-level ridge of high pressure returns, keeping rain chances at bay.

We typically see two or three decent cold fronts in the month of October, but we haven't seen one yet. That will happen before the end of the month. I guarantee it. Stay tuned for updates on when our first big cooldown arrives.

Have a terrific day today and please enjoy the weather when you can. It is the only weather you have got.
