Above average temperatures, the threat for some strong to severe storms, and a decent weekend. Those are your weather stories on this first day of November.
We're waking up to temperatures in the 50s this morning with high clouds working their way in from the southwest. There's a pretty strong upper level disturbance across southeast Texas right now giving some very heavy rain to those areas. We may see some showers on radar south of I-20 later on today, but I'm not expecting any rain across Dallas/Fort Worth. The air is way too dry. We may get some cool clouds out of it but that's about it. Afternoon highs will reach the mid 70s.
Mid to upper 70s will be the rule tomorrow, with morning lows in the 50s. South winds will start to increase Thursday and Friday bringing Gulf of Mexico moisture into North Texas. We'll see signs of this in the form of low clouds during the morning hours. These should erode away by late morning. High temperatures will warm into the mid to upper 70s.

On Friday, a Pacific cold front will approach from the west. I'm expecting some scattered showers for the first half of the day, especially west of I-35W. By late afternoon and evening, a line of showers and storms will form and move through the area before midnight. Some storms may become severe with hail and wind being the primary threats.
By Saturday, these storms will be well to the east of us and we'll see decreasing clouds, plenty of wind with high temperatures in the upper 60s. Sunday looks nice with plenty of sunshine. Afternoon highs will reach the low 70s. Monday looks nice as well. Sunny, windy and mild with highs in the mid 70s.
