A few showers will continue to work their way in from the northwest over the next few hours. These will be gone by mid morning.
Temperatures are in the fifties right now and more warm up into the mid eighties this afternoon. A pretty nice day ahead.
Friday and Saturday are looking decent with highs in the mid eighties. There may be a few showers around early Mother's Day morning, but otherwise the rest of the day should be nice with highs again in the mid eighties.
A cold front will be lurking to our north Sunday night and will press through the area on Monday. Much cooler air now looks to move in with high temperatures in the low seventies. I may have to drop those forecast highs as we head into the weekend. Some data shows we don't get out of the fifties on Tuesday! We'll see.
The amount of rain we see along with how cool the air mass will be will depend on where the front decides to go stationary. Then, this front will act like a railroad track for waves of heavy rain. The latest data is suggesting this will occur just south of the Dallas Fort Worth area with scattered showers and storms for us Monday through Wednesday. Stay tuned, this forecast will continue to be tweaked as we work through the next few days.
