Another warm day today, an evening cold front brings a cooler and windy weekend

Another warm day today
Another warm day today
National Weather Service - Fort Worth

Very warm today, but much cooler tomorrow, warming backup Sunday through Wednesday, and then showers and storms are back in the forecast by Wednesday and early Thursday as our climate confusion continues.

Jackets necessary again this morning as temperatures have fallen into the upper thirties to mid forties at this hour. A grass fire danger today! Sunny windy and warm with highs in the mid to upper seventies.

Grab your jacket this evening, if you're working the 3rd shift overnight tonight into Saturday morning. A strong cold front will plow through here a little before midnight bringing a slight chance of showers with it, especially east of central expressway and 35E to the south of DFW.

You'll wake up to clouds and colder tomorrow morning. Readings will drop into the mid to upper thirties with windchills in the 20s! Morning clouds will give way to afternoon sunshine, windy and cool weather. Highs will struggle to hit 50゚

After a light freeze Sunday morning, temperatures will rebound nicely by afternoon, with highs in the low to mid sixties.

Valentine's Day looks spectacular! Highs will be near 70゚.

Our warmth and wind continues into Tuesday with highs again near 70゚. High grass fire danger because of the wind gust to 35 mph from the southwest.

Clouds invade Tuesday night and into Wednesday. Afternoon highs Wednesday will again be near 70゚. Clouds will thicken up during the day with a good chance of showers by afternoon. Then all eyes on the dry line in west Texas Wednesday evening. A possible squall line may develop west of DFW and plow through the area late Wednesday evening into early Thursday morning. I will fine tune this forecast as we evolve through next week.

Windy and cooler weather will arrive Thursday and Friday.
