Chilly mornings transitioning to pleasant afternoons are anticipated throughout the weekend, followed by a rapid warm-up next week. Trick-or-treaters can expect beautiful weather this evening, with temperatures gradually falling through the 60s.

As we conclude another week, the weather has been remarkably pleasant. Our streak of favorable days will persist, with the exception of a slight chance of showers late Saturday morning through the early afternoon, as another cold front moves into the area.

This morning, temperatures have dropped significantly, reaching the 40s. It is advisable to wear a jacket when heading outdoors, although the wind will remain relatively light throughout the weekend. Afternoon highs today will peak in the low 70s, accompanied by ample sunshine, providing a perfect conclusion to our workweek.

Trick-or-treaters and high school football attendees will experience temperatures decreasing through the 60s this evening, and further dropping to the mid-50s by tomorrow morning. Although not as cold as previous mornings, clouds will begin to increase towards daybreak.

Clouds will continue to thicken late Saturday morning through the early afternoon, as the cold front approaches. While scattered showers are possible, a significant amount of precipitation will evaporate before reaching the ground. Skies will clear from north to south by mid-to-late afternoon, with afternoon highs reaching the mid-to-upper 60s. Winds will shift to the north at 8 to 12 miles per hour.

It is essential to protect tender vegetation and bring pets indoors Saturday night, as temperatures will plummet to the upper 30s to low 40s by Sunday morning. With the time change, sunrises and sunsets are now an hour earlier. Fortunately, plenty of sunshine will dominate on Sunday, with afternoon highs in the mid-to-upper 60s, slightly below average for this time of year.

Temperatures will gradually warm up next week, as a ridge of high pressure builds across the area in the upper levels of the atmosphere. My forecast indicates low 70s for Monday, mid-to-upper 70s for Tuesday, and near 80 degrees for Wednesday and Thursday, accompanied by a breezy south wind. No precipitation is expected in the forecast.

As of now, the next cold front is anticipated to arrive next weekend, so it is advisable to enjoy the forthcoming pleasant days. I hope you have a great Halloween, a nice weekend, and make the most of the favorable weather whenever possible!
