Wednesday morning was the chilliest this fall, and some cool days are ahead. Temperatures will warm up over the weekend before two cold fronts early Thanksgiving week.

Temperatures across North Texas fell into the 40s Wednesday morning. Factor in the 20 mph wind gusts, you can subtract 5 degrees from the actual temperature. It will be sunny and beautiful with afternoon highs in the low 60s. The wind will relax by this evening allowing temperatures to fall quickly after sunset.


Morning lows on Thursday will be between 35 and 44 degrees. There may be some patchy frost north and northwest of Dallas-Fort Worth. Sunny and beautiful again Thursday with afternoon highs warming into the upper 60s.

Another weak cold front will arrive Thursday night, keeping our temperatures chilly for Friday morning. Lows will fall between 35 and 44 degrees.

Friday will be a bit cooler with sunshine. High temperatures will reach the low 60s again.

After a chilly start Saturday morning, high clouds will invade during the day. South winds will return as well. This will allow temperatures to warm up to near 70 degrees.

More high clouds are expected on Sunday as the winds pick up and gusts to 30 mph. Some areas will top out into the upper 70s.

Two cold fronts will move through next week. One on Monday, another one on Tuesday morning. This will drop temperatures into the mid-60s for highs on Monday, and near 60 degrees on Tuesday. It may be even cooler than this by Wednesday.
