Cloudy and cold today, remaining cool tomorrow, quick warm up on Saturday, and then we get chilly again but not a lot of rain in the forecast for the next 7 days. Good morning my friends and welcome to Thursday!

Grab your jacket out the door this morning and some of you may need an umbrella before the day is done, but don't worry, it's not like the apocalypse or anything. Not a lot showing up on radar right now across North Texas, but there are some developing showers to our Northwest and we'll see some showers developed to our Southeast as the day wears on. We're going to be in a hole here across North Texas with not much rain forecast to fall today.

The bigger story will be the extensive cloud cover, north wind gusting to 20, and temperatures hovering in the low to mid 40s all day long. Bundle up, it's like your grandma always said. Clouds will linger overnight tonight with temperatures falling into the mid to upper 30s. The North Wind will relax somewhat, so you won't have to worry about being blown away.

The first half of tomorrow we should see the clouds lingering with slow clearing from Northwest to Southeast by tomorrow evening. This will keep the temperatures down as we struggle to reach the low 50s.

After morning lows in the 30s on Saturday, temperatures willo rebound nicely to near 60° by afternoon. It'll be a beautiful fall day, so go ahead and take a selfie.

Our next cold front arrives Sunday morning. Unfortunately, no rain is expected along the front. I believe our afternoon high will occur in the late morning hours with readings in the upper 50s. Temperatures will slowly fall into the 40s by Sunday evening and down to near freezing by Monday morning. Monday will be cool with highs in the mid 50s. The big warm up happens after that.

We'll be near 60 on Tuesday, mid-60s on Wednesday and heck, we may get into the 70s by next Thursday! Go figure, it's like the weather is playing a game of rollercoaster.

So in a nutshell, a roller coaster ride with the temperatures and not a lot of measurable rain over the next 7 days. Have a terrific day today and please enjoy the weather when you can, it's the only weather you've got!
