The cold front has now pressed south of DFW. North winds are gusting to 20 mph right now and will pick up and gust 30 mph this afternoon. Clouds remain at this time, but will exit pretty quickly by late morning.
It'll be a spectacular day today, breezy and much cooler, with high temperatures in the low 70s.
Tonight, you may want to bring tender vegetation indoors, north and west of DFW, where temperatures will fall into the mid 40s to near 50 across DFW.
Wind relaxes tomorrow and starts to veer SE by late afternoon. High temperatures will remain cool, middle 70s with sunshine.
Our warm up continues Thursday into the weekend as we jump well up in the eighties by Saturday, pushing 90 by Sunday.
Our next chance for thunderstorms, some possibly severe by late Sunday into Monday as a cold front may stall across the area. That doesn't bode well when temperatures are close to 90゚ again.
