Cool mornings and warm to hot afternoons are our weather story through Sunday. Our next subtle pattern change will arrive late Sunday into Monday as a weak front comes through the area. This front may produce some showers and thunderstorms into Monday and possibly Tuesday as well. A few could be strong with all the heat and surface moisture in place.
In the meantime, what you feel is what you get. Morning lows in the 60s in town, 50s away from town through Friday with afternoon highs in the mid to upper 80s today. We'll push 90゚ tomorrow... low 90s into the upcoming weekend. It's gonna be very windy this weekend as well, so hold on your hats and keep all pets indoors under 5 pounds or they might end up an Oklahoma. I would hate for THAT to happen!
I'll keep an eye on late Sunday and early Monday morning's cold front. There could be some strong storms along this front. Right now it looks like it'll be mainly along and east of Dallas and Fort Worth. Temperatures behind the front won't be that much cooler with readings in the middle 80s.
Eventually we'll cool down. It is October! I believe this will happen the 2nd half of the month.
