Cool today, windy and warm for the weekend in North Texas

National Weather Service - Fort Worth
National Weather Service - Fort Worth

Here are your weather stories over the next 7 days....a brief cool-down today, a rapid warm up with a ton of wind tomorrow, we lose an hour of sleep Sunday morning, cooling off again Sunday through Tuesday, and then warming back up Wednesday and Thursday. Next chance of rain arrives late Thursday and Friday.

We're waking up to clearing skies and temperatures in the forties. Definitely need a jacket this morning. Plenty of sunshine today with cool temperatures. Afternoon highs will only reach the low in the mid sixties. North wind will relax and go light and variable by this afternoon.

High clouds increase overnight as southerly winds return. Morning lows will be in the low to mid fifties to start your weekend off. High clouds, very windy, and very warm tomorrow. Afternoon highs and the low to mid eighties! PERFECT weather for The Greenville Ave. Saint Patty's Day Parade from 9am-3pm! You've got to love it!

Another cold front arrives late Saturday night into Sunday morning as we lose an hour's sleep. There will be some showers and storms well to our east, but I'm not looking for any rain in the Metroplex.

Sunday will be partly cloudy, windy and cooler with afternoon highs in the low sixties. Factor in the wind, It'll feel like it's in the fifties all day.

Monday and Tuesday will be mostly cloudy and continued cool. There may be some precipitation on radar late Monday into Tuesday, but most of it won't reach the ground. The air will be way too dry. I'll take "VIRGA" for 800 Alex. It will remain cool though, with afternoon highs in the mid to upper fifties on Monday, near 60 on Tuesday.

A slow warm up is in store Wednesday and Thursday as temperatures get back into the seventies. Our next weather change arrives late Thursday into Friday. We may see some rain by then... and then, much colder for Saint Patrick's Day weekend.

That's all I've got on this cool Friday morning. Enjoy the heck out of your day, have a blessed weekend, and please enjoy the weather when you can, it's the only weather you've got!
