Decreasing clouds and a bit cooler today, dry for the rest of the week with above average temperatures

Monday
National Weather Service - Fort Worth

The rain is moving out this morning, for those of you that did see some last night and early this morning, above average temperatures will continue this week and into the weekend, and unfortunately no more rain is in the forecast. Those are your weather stories for the first full week of fall.

Some areas saw over 2 inches of rain overnight. while others didn't measure a drop. Almost a quarter of an inch officially fell at DFW Airport, that's it! I didn't measure a drop at my place here in North Fort worth. Sad!

We're waking up to temperatures in the upper 60s to low 70s as the weea cold front is now south of the area. There's still some leftover showers and isolated storms east and southeast of Dallas. These will continue to move away from North Texas. Slow clearing today with afternoon highs in the upper 80s. Average high is now down to 86°, so we're still above average.

WeekNational Weather Service - Fort Worth

Temperatures will continue to be above average tomorrow all the way through the upcoming weekend. After a cool start with readings mainly in the 60s tomorrow morning, afternoon highs will rebound to near 90° with plenty of sunshine.

Temperatures will slowly warm through the rest of the week. Wednesday we'll enjoy plenty of sunshine with highs in the low 90s. Thursday through Sunday, which is the opening weekend of the State Fair of Texas, plenty of sunshine will dominate with breezy conditions. Afternoon highs will warm into the low to mid 90s. Morning lows will be in the 70s. Some upper 60s are possible in the outlying areas.

As of now, I don't see any major cold fronts over the next 7 days and unfortunately... no rain either.
