The coldest air of the winter season has arrived across the Lone Star State. An Extreme Cold Warning is in place across North Texas until 9 a.m. Thursday. This is for dangerous wind chills below 10 degrees.
Low temperatures reached between 8 and 12 degrees Thursday morning, shattering the record of 19. Plenty of sunshine but it is staying chilly with high temperatures struggling to hit 30 degrees for Thursday.
Increasing clouds on Friday but a slight chance of a wintry mix towards midnight. It will stay chilly with highs in the mid-30s.
Temperatures will be slightly below freezing into Saturday morning. On and off cold rain showers are possible on Saturday with highs only in the low to mid 40s. Skies clear into Sunday with readings back in the low to mid-50s.
By Monday, plenty of sunshine will dominate and temperatures will warm into the low 70s. How does the upper 70s sound for Tuesday?
